What was the highlight of Madrid Airport Suites

Good for a layover in Madrid, but no dinner

It is quite near the airport and the shuttle makes it really easy to get from and to the airport. The room is great, and quite spacious and the staff are nice as well.

There is no restaurant, and there is nothing really walking distance either, so you are stuck with vending machine dinner. I assumed that there would be at least a cafe, but nothing... Also on the dates I stayed it was quite pricey

You can expect more from a suite hotel

The breakfast is exceptional and the restaurant staff is kind and helpful. At the reception, we would like to mention Miguel Smith. He was the only one we received polite and helpful treatment from.

They don't have a shuttle to the airport from 07:30 to 11:30, so we had to order a taxi. The hotel is in an area that is not pleasant to walk around. There are no shops within a reasonable walking distance of the hotel. Access to the dining room is inconvenient and requires passing through an open, cold patio. The bathroom is cramped because the bidet is stuck in front of the bathtub. There were no hangers to hang a second towel and clothes, and there was a lack of toilet paper. The safe is very small and does not even fit a tablet and certainly not a laptop. The arrangement of the beds in the bedroom creates crowding.

A very comfortable well-appointed room/mini apartm in a hotel located some distance from the airport

Reception was very helpful and accommodating, and all the more so as there had been an earlier mixup (not generated by reception). The room was well appointed, good amenities, with a very comfortable bed and excellent bathroom. There was, in addition a decent sitting room. Booking transport to the airport once at the hotel was highly efficient.

We had to wait for the courtesy van for about an hour and a half. One did briefly appear during the wait, but parked at an area not indicated (a long way before the inidicated "Consignas") and then rushed off when I tried to stop it. It would seem that as the van is small and stops at T4 and T2 prior to T1 there is no space for additional passengers.A couple of calls to the number listed on Booking clarified that the vans ran about every 45 minutes (in theory more frequent than this). The Hotel is not listed on the table of hotels with shuttles at the Airport. There are two Melia's listed but these are apparently other ones. Bizarrely there is a proper Melia minicoach for these (but it doesn't serve the one that is somewhat remote from the airport) The mapping on Booking seems to have been a tad wrong and shows it next to a main Melia at the airport. This new hotel is a decent distance from the airport so you need to factor this in to your timings and I would recommend pre-booking your return to the airport if that is where you are planning to go. Little in the way of local eateries. The presentation is currently very good however, I suspect some of the fittings and finish will not last that long or well

Pleasant hotel but make sure of going to the right one!

Spacious, comfortable room, bed and clean bathroom.

I didn't like the generic name of the hotel with other nearby similar names that are affiliated with the Meliá chain. I spoke in my native Spanish with the bus driver about going to a Meliá hotel and showed him my reservation in my mobile phone and he confirmed I was going to the correct hotel. I even helped translate English-Spanish for the driver and a few other passengers. After about 15 minutes waiting in line to check in, the front desk clerk informed me I was in another Meliá hotel and I had a choice of taking a taxi (given it was already around 22:00h) or the airport shuttle back and then take the other one to the correct hotel, but which can take a long while, given the time of the evening. The taxi ride of almost 20 euros was on my own.

Simple, clean, comfortable, close to airport.

The “suite” was a nice surprise. My husband could watch TV in the living room after I went to bed in the other room. It is simple but clean and comfortable. We had problems getting out of the garage and following the signs out of the complex, but we made it to the airport for our flight on time.

Good facilities, poor communication. Pack a sleep mask.

The location is excellent. it took under ten minutes to reach the airport using the free shuttle. The staff were courteous and quick during check-in. The room itself was a suite with living-dining space and a separate bedroom. The bed was wide and comfortable and the bathroom was clean and up to date. I will consider this hotel next time I need a place close to the airport.

I called ahead to notify the staff I would be checking in later than expected. No one answered the phone. I called several times with the same result. I texted the property through the Booking.com app and never heard back. Not professional. I was in Toledo, and my plan was to stay at the Madrid Airport Suites for one night and fly out the next day. When I clicked on "Get Directions" on the Booking.com app to reach the hotel from central Madrid, the only option listed was by car, and the estimated duration of the trip was 40 minutes. Instead, I took the metro to the airport and a taxi to the hotel, which was faster and more affordable. Less experienced travelers are ill served by this lack of options. My room's windows faced the parking lot, which has powerful lights, and the curtains did not block the light at all. They seemed to be made of some sheer material best suited for ladies' gowns. Fortunately, I had packed a sleep mask. Blackout curtains should be standard in a hotel like this.

Decent, good airport shuttle.

I booked the hotel last minute during a layover, and for such a purpose, it was fine. The room was spacious, and fairly clean, and the airport shuttle was comfortable and on time. It's well connected to the airport. There is a small restaurant in the building complex, and a pool in the summer.

The building itself is under construction, and the decor inside the rooms is haphazard. Everything is made out of laminate or plastic, and a couple lamps weren't working in my room. The location is great in terms of proximity to the airport, but it's in a slightly weird area--not unsafe, just kind of in the middle of nowhere in a way. It's clearly a place for people coming and going of all types, so if you're looking for something fancy this isn't it. If you just need a place for a few hours to sleep while passing through the airport, it ticks the boxes.

Decent stay but unreliable communication and poor assistance

The shuttle service they offer is not reliable, though I checked prior our stay as we were travelling with both of our parents, the shuttle at the airport never arrived, and I tried enquiring through the app but got no response, the following day though we were first to request about the shuttle, they did not booked us in, so we missed the transport again, the people at the reception are not very cordial, and basically the money we thought we saved booking a hotel close to the airport was spent in expensive taxis for 6 people (2 taxis each way) so wouldn't stay there again.

very practical when you need a place close the airport, but not for more than an overnight stay.

the hotel is close to Madrid's airport and that was the main purpose of this visit. They have regular airport shuttle busses so this may the travel easier. The services are limited, especially food and drinks, you are mostly limited to the vending machines in the lobby and it is usually very crowded. For the purpose of traveling out of Madrid, it is a nice place to stay overnight.

very crowded, we had to wait over 30 minutes in line to get the keys. Food is not readily available and the location is in an industrial area, no food services close by.

The transfer from the airport was very difficult, Nobody answers the reception phone, we waited for over an hour and talked to several other shuttle drivers and finally one of them knew the driver from this hotel. In the morning we had to "fight" with other passengers for a place on the shuttle because they overbooked the LAST shuttle. The reception was probably in renovation because it looked very sketchy.

Nice staff

The hotel is very close to the airport, which is convenient; and their shuttle goes through each terminal quite often. I reserved a Twin Suite, and it had separate living and dining room and 1 bedroom, which is nice to separate areas. The staff was very nice and helpful, they even booked a Cabify for me to get to the airport (and paid for it), as the shuttle was already full and I was going to a different terminal. Breakfast had plenty of options and was very nice.

Cleaning could improve a lot. I found some hairs (not mine) on the bedsheets, and there was a weird smell in the rooms, probably from the carpet floors. The hotel is located near some empty lots, and is not close to the metro nor any convenience stores, which is something to consider.
